Road markings are necessary
AS A Formby resident who frequently travels to Hightown, I notice that the junction of North End Lane on to the Formby bypass still has only “give way” road painted markings.
Surely, after all the concerns raised, these could easily be changed to the unbroken “Stop” markings, even as an interim measure.
This would ensure drivers came to a complete stop before attempting their manoeuvre onto the bypass, and not merely slow down as required at present.
Will council officials or councillors act to implement this, as the cost would be minimal and lives could be saved?

I WOULD be very grateful if you could find a space to print the following message in your paper.
Thank you to everyone who helped when I was knocked off my bike outside the police station on Thursday, February 9.
We’re in a stitch
I HAVE spent many wonderful holidays in your part of the country and the Formby people have always been so lovely.
I was wondering, therefore, if anyone would be able to help me?
Has anyone got any knitting or crochet patterns for toys and dolls they don’t use any more?
My daughter is learning to knit and croche, and we are finding any of these patterns very difficult to come across.
If anyone is able to send any to us, the address is: 1 Hillcrest, Pickhill, North Yorkshire, YO7 4JJ
