POPULAR funny man Brendan Riley is set to host his latest batch of comedy shows.
On September 4, as part of the Squirrels Nuts Comedy Club, some of the country’s leading comedians will be coming to Formby.
Being held at Formby Cricket Club, the night is one that promises to be a barrel of laughs.
Comedians due to perform on the evening include Adam Staunton, Brendan Riley and Steve Shanyaski.
Steve will also be appearing at the Big Comedy night at Waterloo Rugby Club on September 5, alongside R David and Brendan.
Steve, who hails from Manchester, has previously appeared on popular TV shows such as Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks, Comedy Store Presents and BBC 3’s Britain in Bed.
He is a long-established and popular headliner, regularly closing at Jongleurs, The Stand, The Glees, The Frog and Bucket and many of the UK’s other comedy nights.
Another night of comedy will take place on August 25 at Gastro Bar and Grill on Liverpool Road.
Acts appearing at the Birkdale Comedy Club Bank Holiday Special include Brendan, Caimh McDonnell and Sam Gore.
Sam, who is classed as one of the leading new performers on the comedy circuit, said he has been to the town once before and is looking forward to performing here.
He said: “Everyone is always very friendly in Merseyside and they are all up for a laugh which is great for me.
“Everyone always likes to join in, so I am really looking forward to it.
“In terms of the show, I am going to be bringing my brand of rude jokes to the audience – I’m just hoping that everyone likes them.”
