Collision causes Formby by-pass disruption
A THREE car crash caused long tailbacks on the Formby by-pass today.
Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution following the smash, which happened on the northbound carriageway, near the RAF Woodvale base.
A Ford Mondeo taxi, black Jaguar XS and Mitsubishi Carisma were involved in the crash.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called out to the scene at 7.05am.
A 62-year-old man is believed to have suffered neck pains and was taken to Southport hospital. A 34-year-old woman, who suffered suspected chest pains, was also taken to Southport hospital.
