POLICE were called to Reds star Steven Gerrard’s Formby mansion after receiving a complaint about noise as he partied with his celebrity chums.
Officers were called in the early hours of Sunday after one of his neighbours made a complaint.
Among the guests at the Christmas bash was the 2010 X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, who exchanged tweets with Gerrard’s wife Alex following the party.
Anfield-born Rebecca tweeted Alex the morning after the party: “thank you for having me was a lovely night xxx”
A number of photos from the party were also posted on Twitter, one of which shows Gerrard sporting a “Kangol beret” and another showing Alex Gerrard at the foot of the staircase in a Julien MacDonald-designed catsuit.
Other guests at the party are thought to have included comic John Bishop, ex-Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy and her husband, former Liverpool player Harry Kewell.
Merseyside Police confirmed a noise complaint was received in the early hours of Sunday.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called at about 2.20am by a member of the public regarding excessive noise coming from a property in Formby.
“A patrol attended and a person at the property was spoken to. No offences were disclosed and no further police action was taken in relation to the matter.”
