Spring Ball will raise cash for Freshfield Animal Rescue Sanctuary

The evening is at the Formby British Legion on Saturday 17 April and costs £15 per ticket.

The ticket price includes a gourmet buffet, charity raffle and live cabaret entertainment with a disco until midnight.

Sarah added: “Another volunteer from the Sanctuary, Vee Longton, is supplying the buffet so all we need now is to sell the tickets. Any raffle prize donations would also be greatly appreciated.

“It was difficult after the recession hit, and because they are a charity.

“Cats weren’t getting homed, there were times when they were just full and turning people away.

“The poor little cats didn’t get somewhere to stay, so this ball will hopefully raise money for the shelter’s cry for help. It will help to save all the cats and find them homes.

“We should all do what we can to help,” she said.
