Ex KGV College teacher denies child porn charges

He said that for some of the searches the “preferences” filter, normally at moderate on Google, was altered to allow unfiltered results. He added: “The prosecution cannot say from which website or exactly when they were downloaded. The only evidence is the indecent images that were recovered.”

The court heard Mr Coleman was alerted to a number of banned searches in October, 2006. Mr Davies took him through a report which was compiled as part of a disciplinary hearing.

Some of the searches included normal sites such as the BBC and information relating to a speech by David Cameron about the influence of modern society on children. Cross-examining Mr Coleman, Simon Killeen, defending, said Mr Williams had made no attempt to disguise his identity for the searches, and was fully aware that his name would be attached to the banned searches.

Mr Williams, of Townsend Avenue, Norris Green, denies all charges.

The case continues.
