THE top of the table clash in the Under 11 Premier Division between Formby Junior Sports Club Whites and FJSC Rangers was a thrilling encounter.
The Whites took the lead after eight minutes when Callum McLeod scored.
Midway through the second half Michael Nixon equalised for Rangers.
With both teams going all out for the winner it was Oliver Shaw who gave the Whites a 2-1 victory with a late goal.
FJSC Under-12s maintained their top spot with a 4-2 win against Southport Trinity Whites.
All the FJSC goals came in the second half with Owen Highton scoring twice and one goal each from Oliver Hall and Charlie Butler.
Under 14 leaders FJSC won 3-2 against Town Green with Jack O’Neill, Ewan Kavanagh and Steven Dolan all scoring.
FJSC Under 17’s gained their first victory of the season winning 2-1 at Hudson Rangers.
In the Inter Club Section goals from Liberty Murphy, Katie Kennedy, Holly Weston and Freya Thornton gave Magpies a 4-0 win in the Under 10 Girls fixture with the Falcons.
Two goals from Jessica Mordaunt helped the Swifts to their first league win. Goals from Hannah Fraser and Freya Walsh gave the Tigers maximum points in the Under 12 Division.
Four goals from Cadan Clark, a hat-trick from Joel Swift and a goal apiece from Nathan Farley, Toby Gladwin and Matthew Byrne saw the Greens win 10-5 in the Year 5/6 Section.
There was a 4-4 draw in the Year 7/8 age group with Pedro Gomes, Elliot Taylor, Euan Smith, George Knowles, Charlie Robinson, Jamie Newton and Joe Johnson all scorers.
Patrick Staunton and Robert Ramsden were amongst the goals for the Blues in their Year 9/10 win against the Reds.
