Film review: The Bounty Hunter

THE BOUNTY HUNTER (12A) Rating: lll

GERARD Butler is Milo the New York bounty hunter given the task of bringing in his bail-jumping ex-wife in this action chase caper comedy.

And while the tender moments that crop up between the bickering pair are predictable, there are plenty of surprises as reporter Nicole (Jennifer Aniston) jumps bail to chase a lead on a news story with Milo hot on her high heels.

The car chases and gun slinging through Atlantic City give the film a suspense twist that is reminiscent of The Hangover, which nicely balances out the cheesy moments between Butler and Aniston.

The pair inevitably fall into each other’s arms at the end of the film but there are still plenty of thrills to be had in the plot, and both stars did all their own stunts – Aniston in heels.

Friends fans can expect the classic “Rachel” performance, from Aniston with added pow, as Nicole fights to get her scoop and dodge her ex.

She dazzles almost as much as her glossy locks.
