Remberance Day Services
RESIDENTS are being invited to remember the war heroes that lost their lives in conflict at special services across the borough.
The Mayor of Sefton, councillors and council officers will attend the Remembrance Day services on Sunday, November 11, and are encouraging others to do the same.
In previous years the number of members of the public attending the services has increased and residents are advised to arrive in plenty of time.
Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Kevin Cluskey, said: "Councillors and council officers from Sefton make every effort to be present at the many services taking place across the borough, as we remember those who lost their lives in conflict past and present.
"Remembrance Sunday is a day we remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we currently enjoy today.
"I hope many people attend the services held in Sefton and spend time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave service men and women as we all owe a huge debt to those who lost their lives."
